Oh how I love you Lord

I am not sure the next time I will be on this as you can tell by the entry of my last log. But it was definitely time to change how it was. Here are some versus that highlight the glory of the Lord and his amazing love and grace towards me:

Psalm 111:9

       He provided redemption for his people;
       he ordained his covenant forever—
       holy and awesome is his name.

Psalm 130:7

      O Israel, put your hope in the LORD,
       for with the LORD is unfailing love
       and with him is full redemption.

Matthew 20:28

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

The Truth of Who God is

1 Samuel 2

Hannah's Prayer

 1 Then Hannah prayed and said:
       "My heart rejoices in the LORD;
       in the LORD my horn is lifted high.
       My mouth boasts over my enemies,
       for I delight in your deliverance.

 2 "There is no one holy like the LORD;
       there is no one besides you;
       there is no Rock like our God.

 3 "Do not keep talking so proudly
       or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
       for the LORD is a God who knows,
       and by him deeds are weighed.

 4 "The bows of the warriors are broken,
       but those who stumbled are armed with strength.

 5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
       but those who were hungry hunger no more.
       She who was barren has borne seven children,
       but she who has had many sons pines away.

 6 "The LORD brings death and makes alive;
       he brings down to the grave and raises up.

 7 The LORD sends poverty and wealth;
       he humbles and he exalts.

 8 He raises the poor from the dust
       and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
       he seats them with princes
       and has them inherit a throne of honor.
       "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's;
       upon them he has set the world.

 9 He will guard the feet of his saints,
       but the wicked will be silenced in darkness.
       "It is not by strength that one prevails;

 10 those who oppose the LORD will be shattered.
       He will thunder against them from heaven;
       the LORD will judge the ends of the earth.
       "He will give strength to his king
       and exalt the horn of his anointed."

Merry Christmas!!!! I am so excited about this Holiday season. My love is spending it with me and my family. I hope you all have as blessed a Christmas as I will.

On a sillier note, for those of you who know me, know that I am kind of a Starbuck fanatic. Well, recently I went on my most extravagant Starbucks trip ever. Erik and I were in a spontaneous mood so decided to ice skating in Tahoe for the day. Along the way he wanted to stop and take pictures with the scenery. By the time we got up to the ski resort it was closed. So we went to the local starbucks and then just came back to town. But it was worth it. That Pumpkin Spice Latte was goooood!

The Coolest Starbucks I have been to yet....

Well, God and Erik are pretty great. Right when you are wanting to be selfish and groutchy God speaks through the amazing man in your like about how "thankfulness breeds contentment." Then following we have a great time of prayer, over the phone even. I am so in love with both of these men.

Some other wonderful highlights: Zack and Nikki are Marrwied (my online version of the priest from The Princess Bride.) The whole event was pretty amazing. We literally saw the hand of God workout every little thing. God your good!

Thanksgiving was pretty great too. Erik and I were supposed to be headed off to Wisconsin to meet his family. However, due to his grandmother passing away, we had to postpone our trip. I am so looking forward to that day.

I started a new job today. No more outdoor kitchens for me. I am excited to be working for this company, drum roll please........

Hewlett Packard

Technically it is a subdivision company called Spherion but it all is pretty much the same. It turned out to be a totally orchestrated, perfect timing from the Lord type situation and I am quite happy about it.

Yeah so I guess it is about time for me to update this.  Quite a lot has happened since the last entry. I will leave the best for last.

#1- I went on a mission trip with my family to the Dominican Republic. We spent two weeks doing ministry and then the last three days on the beach. Yay!

Me and Indiana (yes, that is really her name, isn't she beautiful)

The beautiful beach (isn't life rough )

#2- Two of my dear friends, Zack and Nikki, got engaged.

#3- And now for the best part. (This is mainly for all of you not at home with me) I briefly mentioned his name in my previous entry. Erik is sooo amazing! He has, and continues, to bring incredible things into my life. Not only is he caring, thoughtful, and full of adventure, but he has the guts to kick my butt. And most of you know that is the kind of man that I need to step up to the plate . The Lord is bringing so much joy and blessing through this relationship. I cannot even begin to express how excited I am.

Here is an example of his spirit of adventure
